Verdict

Fantastical is the calendar reviewers keep calling the best: type “Lunch with Sam Friday at noon” and it just works, across Google, Microsoft, iCloud and more. It now runs on Windows too. But most of the good parts are Premium, and $56.99 a year is a lot for a calendar.

You juggle several calendars and want scheduling links, conference detection and natural-language entry in one app.

You’re on Android (not until 2027) or the free calendar that came with your phone is fine.

Overview

Flexibits’ calendar connects to Google, Microsoft 365, Exchange, iCloud, CalDAV and even Todoist, and parses plain-English events. Premium adds calendar sets that switch by time or location, Openings and Proposals for scheduling, a Join button for detected meeting links, time-to-leave alerts and 10-day weather. The Cardhop contacts app is included.

It is no longer Apple-only: the official site lists Windows and a platform it calls “Googlebook” as new, with Android phones and tablets “coming in 2027”. Premium costs $56.99/year or $6.99/month; a Family plan covers up to five people for $89.99/year.

Zapier’s current roundup names it the best calendar app on any platform but calls it expensive for a personal calendar; TechRadar’s older review made the same point about features that rivals give away free.
