What this is

Best Productivity Tool reviews the software and hardware people use to think, plan and get work done — note apps, task managers, calendars, AI note-takers, e-ink tablets, mice, keyboards and desk gear. We focus on making evidence easy to check: every claim links to its source.

Disclosures

Affiliation. This site was built by someone who works at Plaud, which makes the Plaud Note Pro reviewed here. That review uses only Plaud’s public product page and independent reviews, uses the same scoring criteria as every other product, and carries its own disclosure.

No affiliate links or sponsorships. Links to retailers and makers are plain links. No company paid for placement or saw a review before publication.

Design credits

The look of this site, which we call “Colour Plates”, came from studying publications and studios with a strong voice of their own:

  • Field Mag: full-bleed colour modules, the square score plate and rating bars.
  • Panic: every product owning its own colour.
  • Dinamo: colour that means something, and a voice that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
  • The Pudding and Pentagram: permanent numbers for every entry, and an index you can sort.
  • Klim Type Foundry: comparison tables with real typographic care.

The logo sets the same letters at three widths. In BPT, the B is condensed, the P is normal and the T is expanded; the full name follows the same rule. Type is Anybody (display) and Atkinson Hyperlegible Next (text), both open-source.
