Overview

Amazon announced the third-generation Kindle Scribe on September 30, 2025; the front-lit model went on sale on December 10 at a reported $499.99 (32 GB), with a cheaper model without front light and the $629.99 Kindle Scribe Colorsoft alongside it.

Amazon’s newsroom post confirms an 11-inch glare-free display, 5.4 mm thickness, 400 g weight and a new quad-core chip with more memory. TechRadar’s spec table adds a 300 ppi E Ink Carta 1300 panel, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 and USB-C.

TechRadar (4.5/5) calls it the best note-taking Kindle yet but hard to recommend at full price; Tom’s Guide liked the design and stylus but found annotating text frustrating. Note: Amazon’s store page blocked our automated check, so the price shown is the launch price from press coverage.
